Vicki Pappas

LongRun chairperson and founding member, Vicki Pappas, has been active in thoroughbred racing for more than 50 years in a variety of capacities - hotwalker, groom, owner, trainer, breeder, equine artist, bloodstock agent, sales manager,
colour commentator and, most recently, Woodbine's Stakes Coordinator until her retirement 21 years ago. ๐Ÿค

Vicki and her husband, Bill Diamant, maintain a small racing/breeding operation at Woodbine and are co-breeders, along with good friend Gail Wood, of 2006 Queen's Plate winner Edenwold. ๐ŸŽ

In 2001, The Canadian Thoroughbred Horse Society (Ontario Division) awarded Vicki the prestigious Blood-Horse Mint Julep Cup for her work with retired racehorses and in 2020 named Vicki one of the 20
most influential women in thoroughbred racing. ๐Ÿ’ช

In April of 2021 she was recognized as a Thoroughbred Builder Inductee into the Canadian Horse Racing
Hall of Fame. ๐Ÿ‘
